Arco is now Staco

October 2008 – As a result of the integration of Arco Roosters B.V. and its foreign sales offices with the Staco Group, the ROTO grating technology division has been expanded, resulting in an international group of companies. With effect from 23 October 2008, these companies will be working under the name Staco. With production locations and sales offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom and Poland, and sales offices in Germany, France, Luxembourg and Switzerland, Staco is an important player on the European market for grating technology.

Transparency above the water

September 2008 – The derelict crane line on the old NDSM yard in Amsterdam has undergone a genuine metamorphosis. A transparent office building has risen above the concrete bones of the old structure. To make the construction of three floors possible, a steel structure was used that was galvanised by Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard. Arco Roosters supplied gratings and treads for this project, which has been nominated for the 2008 National Steel Award.

RDM acquires new role

August 2008 – The RDM Campus is taking shape on the grounds and in the former buildings of the Rotterdam Droogdok Maatschappij (RDM). Businesses and knowledge institutions are collaborating here on new creative and innovative developments. To make the RDM Campus more accessible, the fast ferry Aqualiner went into service recently. De Boer Staal supplied the tubes for the pontoon where the new ferry service docks.

ROTO acquires Métal Déployé France

June 2008 – Roto B.V. and ICM Group, the leading wire cable tray manufacturer, part of Legrand Group, have entered into a purchase agreement for the acquisition of all shares in the capital of Métal Déployé with effect from 23 June 2008.

Extension of surface treatment division

January 2008 – After 3 months of preparations, it was finally D-day. On 2 January 2008, Verzinkerij IJsselmuiden and Spruyt Coatings Hoogeveen officially became part of ROTO. The two companies are now operating under the names Verzinkerij Kampen and Poedercoating Hoogeveen.

Arco and Staco integrate grating activities

January 2008 – As Arco Roosters B.V. and her subsidiaries and Staco Group have integrated their grating activities as of 2 January 2008, the grating technology division of ROTO has further expanded. This reinforcement makes ROTO an important player in the European grating market.

ROTO and Mikko reach agreement

November 2007 – ROTO B.V. and Mikko Holding B.V. have entered into a purchase agreement for the acquisition by ROTO B.V. of all the shares in Verzinkerij IJsselmuiden B.V. and Spruyt Coatings Hoogeveen B.V. with effect from 2 January 2008.

Arco and Staco aim at integration of gratings activities

October 2007 – Arco Roosters B.V. and Staco Holding Sp. z o.o. intend to integrate their gratings activities shortly. Both parties wish to set up one gratings group before the end of 2007. It is the intention of parties that Roto B.V., 100 % parent company of Arco Roosters B.V., will obtain a substantial majority interest in the new gratings group.

New name: Arco Roosters B.V.

September 2007 – Ever since it was established in the Limburg town of Reuver, Arco has been operating under the legal name Arco Reuver B.V. and the trade name Arco Roosters. To end this unclear situation, the name Arco has recently been changed into: Arco Roosters B.V.

ROTO and MIKKO sign declaration of intent

September 2007 – ROTO B.V. and Mikko Holding B.V. have signed a declaration of intent with regard to a takeover of all shares in Verzinkerij IJsselmuiden B.V. and Spruyt Coatings Hoogeveen B.V. An audit of the books will take place during the next weeks. Parties intend to have the share transfer take place on 2 January 2008.
